[ARCHIVED] The Town Welcomes New Zoning Official

Nathan Reichert from Muscatine, Iowa, has been selected as Westerly’s next Zoning Official.


Mr. Reichert will start his new role on Monday, May 15, 2017.


Nathan has extensive construction and development experience having served as the General Manager for Pepperstone Group.  In his role, Nathan was responsible for leading the planning, zoning and development of a 40 lot sub-division.  In addition to the Pepperstone Group, Nathan was a construction analyst for the Indiana Illinois Iowa Foundation for Fair Contracting, where he guided construction projects through the planning, economic development, regulatory approval, compliance and safe construction practices and processes.  Nathan holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Iowa.


“Mr. Reichert will bring a diverse background of relevant experience to the department,” said Town Manager Derrik Kennedy. “I am very happy for Mr. Reichert to come on board and add to the already great Department of Development Services.”


As the Zoning Official, he will be responsible for overseeing compliance with all zoning applications, submittals, tracking and approvals.  He is also responsible for providing oversight and enforcement of zoning related violations which includes issuing notices of violations, assessment of fines, and referrals to appropriate court.
