The Town of Westerly is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Corina to the
position of Director of Public Works, a position Westerly voters approved as part of
changes to the Town Charter in November. Mr. Corina’s distinguished career with the Town began in 1974 having served the past 30 years in his current position as Superintendent of Utilities. “Paul is admired and well respected, not only within the Town but throughout New
England for making the Westerly Water Department a premiere facility and a standard
other cities & towns follow”, said Derrik Kennedy, Town Manager.
The newly created position will oversee the Highway, Transfer Station, Buildings/Grounds,
Utilities and Engineering Divisions. “I have every confidence that Paul, with his expansive knowledge and skill, will be able to transition easily into the new position”, Kennedy further added. Mr. Corina will assume the duties of the Director of Public Works on
Monday, December 12, 2016.
