The Town of Westerly has contracted Weston & Sampson to perform sewer service inspections as required by the RI Department of Environmental Management. A two-person team will conduct inspections in a “door-to-door” fashion from October 12th through November 12th, 2021, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Sewer service inspections last about 10-15 minutes and evaluate the exterior and the basement or equivalent lowest level of each building for potential inflow sources (please refer to the “Understanding Westerly’s Inflow and Infiltration Problem” brochure that was mailed to each sewer customer and is available on the Town’s website).
This first phase of the project will focus on areas near Pleasant Street, Pierce Street, Pearl Street, Narragansett Avenue, Top Street, Bellevue Avenue, Ward Avenue, Linden Street, Highland Avenue, Summer Street, and Spruce Street.
The Town appreciates your anticipated cooperation in this important matter.
