On or about June 26, 2020, the Town of Westerly will submit an application to the Rhode Island Commerce Secretary, Office of Housing and Community Development, for funding under the federal Small Cities Community Development Block Grant program. The following activities are being considered for inclusion in the application:

Workforce Development Training | $35,000 |

A Public Hearing on the proposed application will be held during the Town Council meeting on Monday, June 22, 2020 at 6:00 p.m., or as close to that time as possible, in the Town Council Chambers of Westerly Town Hall, 45 Broad Street, Westerly, RI as well as via Zoom (accessible online and by telephone – see information above). The purpose of the Public Hearing is to obtain the views of the public on the proposed application. The proposed application may be viewed by the public in the Office of Planning at Westerly Town Hall during all business days from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Comments may be submitted in writing to the Office of Planning or by email to bdelaney@westerlyri.gov or made at the Public Hearing. Following the Public Hearing, the Town Council will review public comment and finalize the application. Some items and proposed funding levels may change in response to comments and information received at the Public Hearing prior to approval by the Town Council.
