Mr. Ouellette will start his new role on Tuesday, June 26, 2018.


Don has previously worked for the Town of Greenfield, Massachusetts where he was the Director of Public Works.  Don was responsible for initiating a pavement management study, an I/I study and a Water System study to develop a five-year capital improvement program.  He also oversaw the relining of a 2.5-million-gallon underground water tank, saving approximately 100,000 gallons of unaccounted for water loss.  Don oversaw the overhaul of 1 mile of streets including upgrading all utilities, adding new sidewalks and reclaiming and paving the street.  Don also oversaw the design and building of a Splash Pad and a Dog Park and planting nearly 300 trees in the Town.  Prior to working at the Town of Greenfield, he held position of the Director of Public Works at the Town of Natick, MA; Town of Wayland, MA; Town of Ashburnham, MA and was the City Engineer for the City of Medford, MA and City of Nashua, NH. Don also served in the Corps of Engineers in a variety of engineering positions.  Don is a licensed Professional Engineer.  Don has a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine and he has a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Western New England College. 


As the Director of Public Works, Don will be responsible for leading, planning, directing and managing the activities of the Public Works Department.  The Public Works Department encompasses three main divisions including; Engineering, Utilities, and Public Works Operations, and several subdivisions including Sewer, Water, Highways, Transfer Station and Buildings and Grounds.
