[ARCHIVED] Construction Notification Downtown / Broad Street Culvert Replacement

The construction/replacement of the Downtown Culvert is moving ahead and is scheduled to be completed by the end of May, 2018. The first phase of the replacement of the culvert is complete and the traffic pattern has been reconfigured for the next phase.  The contactor is D’Ambra Construction, Inc. with construction oversight being done by CDR Maguire. This project is funded with CDBG Disaster Relief funding

Construction operations are scheduled to begin in early to mid-October of this year and are anticipated to be completed by the end of May of next year. NGrid gas must complete a gas main replacement project before construction can commence. Gas main work will take place over the next few weeks. Culvert replacement work will be divided into 4 segments each of which will require modified traffic patterns and some loss of parking.

The contractor for this work is D’Ambra Construction, Inc.

Construction will occur typically from Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM

Construction operations include:
• Utility relocation
• Culvert replacement
• Sporadic curbing removal and resetting, concrete work – Wheel Chair ramps and islands
• Crosswalk Replacement
• Roadway Replacement and re-striping
