Lisa Pellegrini currently serves as the Town’s Director of Development Services.
Lisa has extensive municipal management experience having served as the First Selectwoman for the Town of Somers, Connecticut for four terms . In her role, Lisa was responsible for the total annual Town budget of over thirty million dollars. She obtained over $9 million in grants, including a $1.8 million Brownfield Remediation Grant to remediate the Somersville Mill Site, implemented a capital improvement project plan for vehicle, fleets, buildings and roads, and overhauled the Town’s emergency management system and built a new emergency operations center. Lisa has actively participated in regional government by previously serving in numerous roles at the Connecticut Council of Municipalities including serving as a Board of Director Member, Executive Committee Member, and Legislative Committee Member. Lisa has also held many positions with the Capitol Region Council of Governments including Secretary, and Executive Committee member as well as serving as co-chair of the Crumbling Concrete Committee. She also served as an Advisory Council member for the State of CT Public Health Improvement Plan-Healthy Connecticut 2020, also serving as their chairman of Health Systems. Lisa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Management and Marketing from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science.
As the Director of Development Services, Lisa is responsible for overseeing the operations of the multi-functional Development Services Department that encompasses; planning, zoning, code enforcement, building inspection, development services, grants administration, energy, and economic development.
