The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill watch for Thursday overnight through Saturday afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to range from a high of 39° to a low of -1°. Wind chills may make these temperatures feel as low as -30° and can present a real danger for those who are outdoors.
If you must go outside, dress in layers, wear a hat, scarf and gloves. Make sure to cover any exposed skin and limit your time outside as much as possible.
Check on your home heating source (oil, wood, pellet stove fuel) to make sure you have enough to heat your home. If you need assistance with home heating, an emergency heating assistance resource guide is available on the Town website by clicking on the link below.
Don't forget about our four-legged friends. Keep pets indoors as much as possible and don't leave them outdoors for extended periods of time.
