Amend Sec. 260-9. Terms defined by adding "Commercial Recreation-Hotel" and "Commercial Recreation Limited Suite Hotel" and add Sec. 260-87.9. Development Standards for Commercial Recreation Hotel.
The Proposed Ordinance would amend Chapter 260 of the Westerly Code of Ordinances entitled “Zoning Ordinance” by adding definitions for “Commercial Recreation – Hotel” and “Commercial Recreation Limited Suite Hotel” and would amend Article XI entitled ‘Development Standards for Particular Uses’ adding thereto Section 260-87.9 – Development Standards for Commercial Recreation Hotel. The development standards applicable to the development of a Commercial Recreation Hotel would be appropriate styles generally termed as New England Coastal and include key characteristics for massing, roof forms, dormers, roofing, window and door openings, exterior doors, sliders and French doors, windows, running trim, flashings, drips, gutters, downspouts, foundations, cladding, chimneys, shutters, colors, porches, railing and balconies, exterior light, HVAC equipment, landscape buffers, paving, fencing and dimensional requirements.
