Marc Tate currently serves as the Town’s Director of Information Technology and Assistant Director of Emergency Management.
Marc has over twenty years of IT management experience with over seventeen years working in municipal government. Marc previously worked for the Town of Colchester, Connecticut, where he was responsible for all aspects of administration of the Town’s and public safety technology. Marc also worked for the Town of North Stonington, Connecticut, where he was responsible for the Town’s technology needs, including the design, implementation and management of custom business intelligence systems. Marc also served as the Director of Emergency Management for the Town of North Stonington, where he was responsible for developing, organizing, directing and coordinating the Town’s emergency management program. Marc actively participates in his profession by being a member of the International City/County Management Association as well as the Government Management Information Sciences International association. Marc is a Microsoft Certified Professional. Marc has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Systems from Eastern Connecticut University and a Master’s of Public Administration with a graduate certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of New Haven.
Marc is a Pawcatuck native and currently resides in North Stonington with his wife and daughter.
