Joshua Putman currently serves as the Town’s Director of Human Resources.
Joshua is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and a Senior Certified Professional – IPMA (IPMA-SCP), and has over twelve years of human resources experience with seven years working for local, state and federal government agencies having worked at the State of Missouri Department of Education, City of Springfield, City of Alexandria, and the US Department of State’s resettlement program. He is actively engaged in his profession by being a member of the Society of Human Resources Management, the International Public Management Association for Human Resources and the Association for Talent Development. Joshua holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Columbia College and a Master’s of Science in Human Resources Management from Troy University. Joshua also holds a Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University
In Joshua’s role, he is responsible for leading, planning, and directing all the activities of the municipal personnel program, including employee relations, classification, compensation, talent acquisition, benefits, HRIS, labor relations, payroll, risk management and training.
