The US Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) is working with the RI Coastal Resources Management Council on a an Aquatic Ecosystem Eelgrass Restoration Project in Winnapaug Pond.

The below plans were presented by representatives from ACOE during a Webex Meeting on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.

Project Notes:

The ACOE completed a bid opening for the contractor, however the lowest bid was almost a million dollars over the independent government estimate.

As the additional funds were not available to meet the lowest bidder, the ACOE cancelled the solicitation.

ACOE will re-solicit in the Spring of 2021 with a dredge date to begin in October 2021.
