The Wellness Program’s current discount will still be in effect throughout the plan year of July 1, 2017 – June 30, 2018.
To be eligible for the Wellness Incentive for the July 1, 2018 – June 30, 2019 year, you and all adult members (individual over the age of 18) of your family will need to complete an annual physical and an Annual Physical Exam Verification form. The Town will not collect any PHI or any medical records, just confirmation that the routine medical exam was completed.

Open Enrollment - FSA - Westerly Cares - Vision Insurance
It is that time of year again for open enrollment for a number of our benefits/programs.
Flexible Spending Accounts – FSA
Employees who are interested in putting pre-tax dollars to use to qualify for eligible medical, dental, vision and other expense can enroll in the FSA. Employees can also enroll in the FSA if they have eligible childcare expenses.
Please Note: Employees who are on the HDHP – HSA are still eligible to enroll in the health reimbursement portion of the FSA; however, they will be restricted to using a limited purpose FSA. More details about the limited purpose FSA are on the Town’s HR website.

Westerly Cares is the Town’s employee giving program. Employees can donate through payroll deduction, to local charitable organizations. Donations are tax deductible. Employees who participate in this program are allowed to participate in “dress down Fridays (if applicable)”.
Please Note: Individuals who participated in Westerly Cares in 2017 will have their deductions automatically end on December 31, 2017. If you are interested in continuing in participating in Westerly Cares you will need to submit a 2018 enrollment form.

VSP – Vision – Non-Union Staff
The Town has partnered with VSP Vision to offer vision insurance to Town staff. The vision insurance is supplementary insurance. Since all non-union employees are on the HDHP – HSA, there is no longer a $100 reimbursement for vision. However, the routine eye exam is covered as part of the annual well visit, under the BCBSRI benefits. There have been no rate increases for this benefit.

Deadline – Enrollment Forms and Documents
All enrollment forms and documents will need to be returned to Human Resources by 4:30 PM on Wednesday, December 13.
Local 808 Union Dues Increase
The Town has received notification from the Rhode Island Judicial, Professional and Technical Employee's Local Union 808 that in accordance with the Constitution of the Laborer's International Union of North America and the vote by the Delegates at the 25th Convention, the bi-weekly union dues deduction for members of Local Union 808 has increased to $19.00 (bi-weekly) effective January 1, 2018
